If you are coming from Florence, the distance to Stifone is approximately 210 kilometers (130 miles), and the drive usually takes about 2 hours and 30 minutes.

Stifone is a small hamlet, and parking can be limited. Visitors typically park along the main road or in designated areas just outside the central part of the village. Look for parking signs or designated parking lots near the entrance to the hamlet.

By Train:

You can also reach Stifone by train. From either Rome or Florence, take a train to the Narni-Amelia station. From the station, you can either take a taxi or the local bus to Stifone (E630). The bus is active from June to September, and the ride from Narni-Amelia station to Stifone takes approximately 10-15 minutes.

Between mid-June and the end of August, you need to purchase a ticket to access Sorgente della Morica. There are three different time slots, and you need to choose one before visiting. The time slots are:

  • 12:30-15:30
  • 16:00-19:00

Tickets cost 5€ per person and are only valid for one time slot. You will be required to leave at the end of the selected time slot.

Both a ticket inspector and a lifeguard are usually present on site. However, there is no ticket office on site, so you must purchase your passes online beforehand. You can do so on stifone.it.

The site isn’t fenced or gated. Outside these times, you can visit the pool without the need to purchase a ticket.
